Mr. Taurus Felton is a native of Cleveland, Mississippi. He is a graduate of East Side High School, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Mr. Felton has taught in a variety of educational settings. He began his career in Selma, Alabama where he served as a secondary social sciences teacher, in an alternative school setting. He later moved to an urban setting where he served as social science teacher in grades 8th-10th. During this time, he utilized skills he developed as a collegiate athlete to tutor young men. Taurus is entering his first year as an assistant principal with Hoover City Schools at Hoover High School. He enters his 18th year in public education.
Mr. Felton has been privileged to lead professional audiences in regional conferences.
