Hoover HS Adopts Bellaire (TX) High School

Following Hurricane Harvey in Texas and now Hurricane Irma in Florida, we have seen people across the country come together to reach out and help those in need. We are excited to announce that Hoover High School has adopted Bellaire High School in Houston.

Bellaire HS is very similar to Hoover High in many aspects. They have a large, diverse population with more than 3,600 students. When our administration approached their administration inquiring about ways to assist, they told us that many of their students had lost their homes and/or belongings and that gift cards for shoes would be a huge help.

Two stores, JC Penney and Academy Sports, have locations near our school and also near Bellaire HS. Our goal as Hoover High School is to collect 2,400 $20 gift cards by September 22.

Our school respectfully requests that staff, students, community members, and alumni consider helping us reach our goal so that we can assist students in need at Bellaire High School.

Gift cards can be dropped off at the front desk; we appreciate your support!
