I have been enjoying and participating in instrumental music since I was in elementary school.   As a performer I have been a member of several collegiate ensembles including the University of North Alabama Symphonic, Jazz, and Marching Bands.  While studying on the graduate level I was a member of the EKU Percussion Ensemble, Marimba Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Timpanist with the University Orchestra. In 1988 I was a member of the Florida Wave Drum and Bugle Corps from Ft Lauderdale Florida thand performed in 20 states that summer. During graduate school I wrote for and taught the Eastern Kentucky University Marching Colonels' Drumline.   I was selected as a performer with the Kentucky Percussive Art's Society All Collegiate Percussion Ensemble.   I taught percussion at Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps from 1993-1997.   Various awards received are as follows;  Donald Cooper Memorial Percussion Award, University of North Alabama Service Award, and four year scholarship recipient while at UNA.  I enjoy spending family time with my wife Shelia  and my son Jacob that attends Jacksonville State University.  I am a educational team member of Vic Firth sticks and mallets,as well as the Remo Drumhead company.
