Experience

I have been at Hoover High for four years now as a part of the Special Education Team. I have also cotaught History 9, History 10, English 10, and English 11. I am now the Foundations of Reading and Writing teacher for the Special Education department.

I am also a certified Reading Specialist. My passion is teaching students that reading can not only open up a world of new information and culture, but can be fun and meaningful!

I did my internship at an elementary school in the Memphis area in 2013.

I am also the sponsor for our club Team Up for St. Jude. We are always looking for opportunities to raise money to beat childhood cancer and support the families and doctors at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. Please contact me with any fud raising opportunities for this great cause!

Bio

I was born and raised in Alabama. However, recently lived in MS right next door to Memphis, TN. After three and a half years there, I am happy to be home in Alabama with my two daughters.

I come from a family of educators. My mother was a Special Education teacher, as is my oldest sister. Assisting students with special needs has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I am proud to finally be a part of a great team at Hoover.
